W-Counts works without an account. Your profile, habits, proof, notes, schedules, and settings stay in local app storage. W-Counts does not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.
Data you choose to provide
In version 1.0, you may provide a display name, mantra, goals, habit records, reflections, and schedules. Notification permission is optional and requested only when you turn on reminders. The app does not ask for an account, email address, or username.
Connected services
Version 1.0 does not enable accounts, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, or other remote product services. If a future version adds a connected service, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that service collects data.
Website hosting logs
When you visit w-counts.com, its hosting provider, Vercel, may process limited network and request information—such as your IP address, browser or device headers, requested page, timestamp, and security or error diagnostics—to deliver and protect the website. W-Counts does not add advertising or behavioral analytics to those requests. This website-hosting activity is separate from the native app: the app does not automatically send your local profile, habits, notes, history, or schedule to the website.
How data is used
Device data is used only to provide habit tracking, scoring, history, reminders, planning, and portable backups. W-Counts does not use your content for targeted advertising.
Notification previews
If you enable reminders, local notification previews can show habit names and minimums you entered, including on the Lock Screen. iOS notification preview settings control when that content is visible.
Storage and retention
Device-only data remains until you reset the app, clear its storage, or remove the app. W-Counts does not receive that device data. Export a portable backup before resetting or removing the app if you want to keep a copy.
Portable backup security
Exported backups are readable, unencrypted JSON files. They can contain your profile, habits, notes, history, and schedule. You choose where the system share sheet, Files picker, or web browser download saves or sends them. Store and share backups carefully, and delete copies you no longer need.
Support email
If you choose the support link, your email app—not W-Counts—handles the message. The developer receives the sender address, message, and any information you include. Support email is used only to answer, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and keep necessary business records; it is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. You may request deletion through the same support address, subject to legal recordkeeping obligations.
Your choices
You can use the full app without signing in, decline notifications, export a portable copy, or permanently reset device data from inside the app.
Children and sensitive use
W-Counts is a general habit and productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. It is not medical, mental-health, or emergency advice. Do not enter information you do not want processed as described here.
